Travel story :We made a wonderful trip through Ghana with our family, father, mother and 3 daughters 21,23 and 25. We enjoyed all the sights that Paul took us to and through him and our driver kweku we learned a lot about the country! Tip for next travelers, it may be wonderful to have a hotel with a swimming pool in the north because of the heat, we also really enjoyed staying in the safari park in the zaina lodge for two nights to relax and spend a little longer to enjoy the place and the animals instead of having to move on quickly. So this is highly recommended! However, the cooking class was a bit different than expected, instead of really helping and it was mainly watching. However, it was super fun to taste a traditional dish! The trade-off for new travelers can therefore be whether they want to do this here or rather in a local restaurant. All in all it was an unforgettable trip, thanks to all the beautiful and different places we saw thanks to Paul's nicely organized trip in which everything was negotiable and adjustments were possible! Thank you Paul, Alexi and Kweku, we enjoyed it!!

Travel story : Nice, varied journey where both nature and culture were given a place. The trip certainly has added value with the Voodoo Festival. Very good organization, with an eye for safety and hygiene, a good system of contact persons on site so that everything went smoothly, good follow-up of reservations for both restaurants and guides... The contact in advance also goes very smoothly (from the booking). Did this trip as a solo traveler (thank you for doing it) - customer wishes are well taken into account. I am definitely looking forward to a next destination with Captain Africa.

Travel story :A big thank you for the nice 2 weeks in which you got to know our Ghana. We will cherish many beautiful experiences, some experiences we will simply carry in our thoughts. Visit the traditional houses of Lobi and Peulh, meet the friendly and enthusiastic residents. First scared and then enjoy the greedy Mona monkeys in Baobeng. Sharing plantain chips, cookies and mango during the sometimes long but pleasant car rides. Spotting a group of 3 elephants at the fountain just in front of Zaina Lodge in Mole Park. Meet madame Elisabeth who, together with Alexis, prepares a delicious fufu for us. Enthusiastic reception by Dela and other children of Hand in Hand. A calabash Pito, a bottle of Palm wine, a sip of Akpeteshie and many bottles of cola, Gulder, ABC, Star and Club. Enjoy the tranquility of the Bobiri reserve and then also the tranquility and beautiful fishing scenes at Lake Bosumtwi. Get quiet during the tours of the castles of Elmina and Cape Coast. Spotting a lightning-fast monitor lizard in the garden of the Coconut Grove Beach hotel. Hiking between the tops of the trees in Kakum NP. En route, coincidentally witnessing the inauguration of a new chief. Being welcomed enthusiastically and shaking hands with all the great chiefs present. Visit to Castle of Axim, San Antonio, under the sympathetic guidance of toddler Terah and her dad. Walk back to the resort through the fishing village and along the beach. Lots of “Obruni!!??? and enthusiastic hand waving. Nice boat trip to the stilt village of Nzulezu. We see difficult living conditions, very primitive school building but also enthusiastic boys who enjoy a ball game in the water. We enjoyed our trip, the country, the people, nature and certainly your company.

Travel story : In Togo there are a number of remarkable places to visit such as Kpalimé and the Tamberma villages. But other than that it's not that interesting. Benin has more to offer: plenty of beautiful and interesting places. The really interesting and what it definitely pays off is the contact with Voodoo. Impressive and captivating, interesting to compare with animism and shamanism in other countries.

Travel story : If you are looking for luxury and comfort while traveling, you are not in the right place in Togo and Benin. But those who have the courage to overcome all the ups and downs (literal representation of the road network) in both countries will have a richer cultural experience, get to know fascinating people, be immersed in strange voodoo experiences, can enjoy the local cuisine and add a piece of colorful West Africa to the must-do-once-in-a-lifetime travel adventures.

Travel story : Beautiful unforgettable trip, busy program but therefore also seen and experienced many beautiful things. Pol, the guide, did a great job. We were given a say during the trip regarding the program and the course of the day. Pol could also give us a lot of information about the country, nature, ... . It's my 2nd trip with captain Africa and I can definitely recommend it. Everything great.

Travel story :The third time with captain-africa and it was again a very special experience. What we were actually supposed to present at that voodoo festival...no idea...a tourist trap? By no means: an annual event on January 10 that all Béninois look forward to, ordinary people but also the BB, well-known Béninois. Paul had arranged good places in the shade in the grandstand for VIP in Grand-Popo and we enjoyed the colorful event with singing and dancing until the late afternoon. Our almost full day boat trip through the stilt villages of Ganvier was so beautiful and authentic it left you speechless. Traveling in Benin requires turning the knob, after all, we are in Africa; the roads are better but not everywhere yet; hotels are sometimes basic, sometimes just good, but everywhere people do their utmost to please their customers. The ecological hotel "chez armand" was a surprise: armand proves that there is also some movement in Africa regarding the environment, they still have a long way to go, who doesn't, but such initiatives already make a difference. Paul does the guidance well, constantly adapts and his guidance and provides a lot of peripheral information; every question is answered and all unforeseen problems (this is africa baby!) are solved efficiently and as quickly as possible! Thank you for another great experience and a new life lesson Paul every question is answered and all unforeseen problems (this is africa baby!) are solved efficiently and as quickly as possible! Travel story :It's stronger than me...I have to go to Africa again! I can't choose, do I do the East side or the West side? Well, I'll do both! Quite a challenge for Captain Africa to steer that in the right direction, but he succeeded again. First Ethiopia, a poor country with people dressed in white but with a natural beauty and a rich culture that make the country really worthwhile. We opted for a drive from Addis Ababa over the breathtaking highlands and beautiful views to the north. We were especially blown away by the castles of Gondor and the rock churches of Lalibella. Ethiopia is a must for experienced Africa travelers. From Addis Ababa to Accra for the 2nd part of the journey. What strikes us most is the contrast in population. How colorful and how exuberant is this population in Ghana! The part of Ghana was a nice reunion as we already visited this country in 2007 with Captain Africa. How can a country evolve like this? Where have those slopes and bad roads gone? Everyone really walks with a smartphone... This country 11 years later, it continues to fascinate, especially the colorful and friendly people are a great asset, but nature and history also continue to fascinate. And Captain Africa has organized all this brilliantly again. It is actually a bit like coming home to Pol, our white African.... Thank you Captain Africa for another great experience in our second home! Koen and Catherine especially the colorful and friendly people are a great asset, but nature and history also continue to fascinate. And Captain Africa has organized all this brilliantly again. Travel story :This trip was a great experience for us. The program was very varied and the region is certainly not overrun with tourists. Sometimes we almost had the hotel/lodge to ourselves. Sometimes we were also pleasantly surprised. For example, I am thinking of the Zangbeto performance. I am usually quite skeptical about performances that are held for tourists. But more and more villagers came to watch and spontaneously clapped their hands to the rhythm of the music. It immediately brought some 'couleur locale'. That is why Africa is so special. Along the way on the journey we were also offered fruit and vegetables a few times from passers-by, so that in this part of the world people only beg, is really a myth. Really a plea for everyone to discover it for themselves...

Travel story :After having traveled through Ghana for the first time with Captain Africa in 2013 and taking into account the fact that I have already been to Togo 3 times ("family circumstances"), it was about time to travel through Togo itself. Together with a good friend/colleague, who set foot on the African continent for the first time, we decided to travel through Togo with Paul for 6 days. On this six-day trip we have again seen / done a lot ... remnants of WWI in Kamina, visited Tamberma villages, the traditional blacksmithing in Pya, visited the cooler Togo in Dzogbegan where the insects mainly targeted me, a beautiful nature walk in the area of Kpalimé and an exhausting walk in a scorching heat to the waterfall of Yikpa, slept in a tent and had a nice barbecue... actually too many to mention. We would lose sight of the spontaneous contact with the local population. Also a big thank you to Paul and his wife for guiding us...probably not for the last time.

Travel story : As experienced Africa travelers, we discovered Togo and Benin for the first time. In short: an exceptional experience. The real Africa. With the name "Captain Africa" you get the best service everywhere and our guide Thomas was "outstanding" After a journey of 13 days and 1800 km, we look tired, but with so many beautiful impressions back on this trip. We especially thank our guide Thomas , who made all our wishes come true . The strength of Captain Africa is the fact that, while you travel, you can still adjust everything to your interests. Thank you and definitely recommended!!!! Ann & Patrick

Travel story :Two years ago traveling solo with Captain Africa in Burkina Faso. Now with his wife and the 3 kids (20, 17 and 15) back to West Africa. The emphasis was on a tour in Mali and Togo. Just like my first trip, perfect guidance by Paul and his partner. Due to the political problems in Mali, only a few hotels and restaurants were open, but that was not an obstacle at all. A beautiful country with the highlights Dogonland, Mopti and Djenne. Only met nice people, not a moment of threat. Usually good infrastructure, hotels and restaurants. Hotel Chez Tess in Ouaga is nice and cosy, quiet and with a good breakfast. The hotels in Togo are usually simple, Temberme villages are very nice to visit. We ended up on the beach in Lome, lazing around for 4 days in the nice hotel Sarakawa. The children also enjoyed the trip immensely, not least because of the perfect company and guidance of Paul and Alexis. If Ivory Coast appears in the travel offer, we will be at the door again!! We'll keep in touch!! La vie et belle!!

Travel story : For the fourth time we went to explore Africa. Back to Ghana after 13 years. Some progress was visible. Molepark was breathtaking again. We were lucky to see 8 elephants very close, the Akwasidae festival was surprising, although quite noisy. The Kente weavers amazed us with their craft knowledge and their beautiful products. The art of adinkra printing was new but also beautiful. The center for the disabled in Nkoranza (hand in hand) was confrontational. The Pilo, at the Lobi, tasted like gueuze and, despite the lukewarm beer, was surprisingly tasty. In short AFRICA IS BEAUTIFUL.

Travel story :Already for the 3rd time we make an appointment with Paul to visit a piece of black Africa. After a trip to Togo/Ghana and the Voodoo festival Benin, we really get the taste and we are ready for the Mali/Burkina Faso adventure. Despite the many negative reports in the Belgian media that Mali is a dangerous country to avoid, we have not felt unsafe for a minute. As always in West Africa, we only met friendly and hospitable people who all offer something for sale, because in these countries everyone is independent and they all have a shop or trade. The children also always come running enthusiastically, if only to secretly feel whether that pale skin won't come off with a rub... The trip itself was, as usual, well put together. Paul feels very well what his customers want. Our main concern was to meet people and peoples and we have experienced this extensively: the Dogons in the mountains, the Bozos in their fishing villages, the wandering Peulen, the artistic Bobos and the traditional Lobis. Apart from these many population groups, it is always an experience to be on the road. Nature always surprises us or we are amazed at the chaotic villages we pass along the way with their typical African scents and colorful scenes. Once you have tasted this Africa, you always want to go back ... even if you can put everything in perspective again "once at home"! It was again a wonderful experience and know that somewhere in Sint-Niklaas in the distant gloomy Belgium there is a white African walking around! Thank you! ! Travel story :This was our (for Gust and Greta) 3rd trip to West Africa with Paul. Our son Rik - who knew our stories from the first 2 trips (Togo and Ghana + Mali and Burkina Faso) and was also looking for authenticity - wanted to experience Paul, Captain Africa's way of traveling. It was a unique trip with a nice program, full of variety and pleasant company. Paul always concerned and attentive and attentive to what "his" travelers want. We saw, among other things, the authentic Benin with its voodoo traditions, its role in the slave trade, influences of colonization, Penjari nature park, traditional Tamberma houses, a Taneka village with chief fetishist, underground shelters and had the opportunity to interact with the "locals"

Travel story :
We booked a 7-day trip to Ghana with Captain Africa as an interlude in a 3-week trip to Togo, where we went to visit his in-laws with our friend Kevin. On our Ghana trip, we were well guided by our French and English speaking guide Thomas, who made sure everything was perfectly arranged and we didn't have to worry about anything. The trip was sufficiently varied: nature (Voltameer, monkeys in Boabeng, Kakum), culture (Kente weavers, Kumasi), history of the slave trade (very moving)... The accommodations were more than luxurious for us. We also laughed a lot and we will never forget the face of Thomas when he overcomes his fear of heights on the suspension bridge in Kakum! In short, the entire trip was a fantastic experience and we saw and experienced the real Africa. Good for the perspective in Belgium! And if the opportunity arises, we will definitely return again and perhaps book the Mali-Burkina trip... Paul, good luck with Captain Africa!

Travel story :Worth repeating. On November 1, we left the Belgian weather behind us to enjoy the African sun for two weeks. Together with Paul, who picked us up at the airport of Ouagadougou, we made an instructive and adventurous journey. We saw, among other things, an arrival of the Tour of Faso. On our way to our Plankindje in the West of Burkina Faso we went sailing on Lake Tengrela, we splashed in the waterfalls of Karfiguéla, visited the unforgettable rock formation of Fabedougou and visited authentic villages. In short, been immersed in the African way of life. Paul knows the roads by heart, does not need a map or GPS, not even on the slopes where there are no signposts. After an unforgettable visit to our Plankindje, we drove back to the capital and from there traveled on to Ghana. Lots of visitors here too. These include Tong Hills, voodoo village, Boabeng monkey sanctuary, Hand in Hand, a home for mentally and physically disabled children, Kumasi, the beautiful Bosumtwi Lake and Kakum National Park. We were also impressed by our visit to the forts in Cape Coast and Elmina from where millions of Africans were shipped to America at the time. We have stayed in both European and African hotels, eaten both European and African, been immersed in the African way of life and determined that our trip was too short. Travel story :Last summer we went on our honeymoon to West Africa. Not exactly a classic honeymoon destination, but this trip was an unforgettable experience ! One that we will remember for a long time, we have seen people and things that left a big impression on us. The advantage of West Africa, and Benin, Togo and Ghana in particular, is that these countries are not yet overrun by tourism. The meeting with the beautiful local people (the fire dance of the Tem in Sokode, the Zangbetos of Grand Popo, the meeting with the Fa in Grand Popo, etc.) and the creative way of solving (practical) problems will certainly be remembered for a long time . We quickly forgot about the long drive to the north of Benin after visiting both Taneka villages and the next day at the Tamberma village. Also the visit to the slave forts of Cape Coast, Elmina and Fort Apollonia in Ghana and the Port of No Return in Benin from which so many have left never to return, made us think about the suffering of the African slaves. The advantage of being accompanied by Paul is that he is always prepared to respond to the interests of the travelers if possible. Good luck in the future and a sincere thank you for the wonderful guidance! Valerie and Rick respond to the interests of travelers. Travel story :Because our daughter worked in Lomé for a few months and we wanted to visit her, we looked for a tour in Togo. Captain Africa is one of the few with whom you can arrange your own tour. Paul knows the nice places to see, the good hotels, nice excursions with good local guides, who sometimes also speak English. In addition, Paul himself is also an excellent interpreter for us Dutch people, who do not speak French. This trip is so much fun because it gives you all the opportunities to interact with the people. It is so surprising to experience how resourceful, hospitable and helpful Africans are. Highly recommended if you are looking for something different in Africa than big game.

Travel story :We looked in awe at ancient trees, fully enjoyed the trip by boat to a stilt village, swam in a mountain lake, found our balance on a long suspension bridge above the rainforest and stayed on the jagged but beautiful Ghanaian west coast. The visit to the slave castles of Elmina and Cape Coast made us quiet and our two-day stay in the "Hand in Hand" Community in Nkoransa provided unforgettable moments. Moreover, we stopped here and there, if there was something interesting to experience or see. We entered a school, accompanied by dozens of jubilant children, walked through a rubber plantation and drank palm wine (in moderation). A trip we will never get out of our minds!

Travel story :Last year, our travel group consisting of three 50+ women and a 60+ man came up with the idea of going on a real Africa trip. Ingredients had to be; mud huts, voodoo, nature park and a non-touristy character. Well, we've all seen and experienced it all under Paul's guidance. Don't imagine it's a luxury trip, but pure. Sometimes there is no electricity, sometimes no water, but there is always a solution for that. Sometimes there are some long distances but there is so much to see along the way that you will not be bored for a moment. Unfortunately, the Mole park was a bit disappointing, but the only elephant that walked around made up for it, as did the swimming pool at the hotel. Paul is a very good driver and got us through everything in one piece. Once I got home I missed the beautiful people who walk along the road with all sorts of things on their heads and especially the many cheerful children. If you want to see the real Africa, this trip is definitely recommended. We enjoyed a lot and had a lot of fun!

Travel story : Hello. Here are some thoughts about our trip ( at your request ) Our intention was to see "basic Africa", and the trip fully meets that. It is very good to fake the journey as we have done it, namely against the will of the clock; first Togo to the north, and then Ghana to the SW, then S, and then SE to finally arrive in South Togo in Lomé again. This is for the simple fact that the journey then goes crescendo with the "canopy walk" as the highlights and in Lomé the voodoo market and the artisanal market. We have "seen" Africa, but above all "experienced". Thanks PAUL,VICKY ,BETTA,ANAS

Travelogue :After Togo and Ghana in November 2009, we decided to visit Burkina and Mali. During that previous trip everything went perfectly so we knew we could count on Paul and Vicky's knowledge again. 3 other participants now joined our group from then. Sure enough, everything went very well during these 23 days. It flew by. Burkina is certainly not inferior to Mali. Both countries have gems of architecture (mud mosque, mud houses). Contact with the local population is equally jovial in both countries. Thanks to e-mail we are already in contact with a number of people from there. Also great for sending photos. The variation in types of accommodation is also great. Nomadic camp in Gandafabou where there is practically nothing, the boat trip from Mopti to Timbuktu and staying in tents along the banks of the Niger, the beautiful hotel La Maison in Timbuktu, the camp in Dogonland and so on. Nature is also varied. For the rest, Paul is always willing to insert a few specials wherever possible. Visit to a local hospital, school, some project that could be started with support from Belgium, ...... . These visits also immediately put both feet on the ground. The realization that we are doing well in Belgium and it is best not to complain too much. So it's good to have a few things to give away over there. If you fly with Air France you have the advantage that you can take 2 pieces of luggage per person of 23 kg each. Paul is already starting to know and assess our group well. Do we have any plans? Definitely. Benin is still on the list. Best in combination with Togo, because we haven't seen everything there either. Because of 6 enthusiastic travelers. Travel story :A very interesting and instructive journey and a pleasant first introduction to the continent of Africa. This trip exceeded our expectations. We were surprised by the diversity, both of people and nature. The way of traveling was also new to us and is definitely recommended, especially us and Mr. Paul as our guide and driver. Just touring through Ghana and coming to places that you would certainly not think of with a group tour. This trip certainly changed the idea we had about Africa. We would have liked to stay a little longer to experience and see even more. Hopefully we will return to Africa next year. Kind regards to mr. Paul and thank you for the wonderful journey. Travel story :Thanks again for the beautiful trip you arranged for us. Completely adapted to our wishes! After a three-day visit to our daughter in Tamale, we left for a tour of Ghana. A land of contrasts. The traditional African culture mixed with modern technology (mobile phone, solar panels, ....) The dry warm north and tropical humid south. The trip will remain in our memories for a long time, especially the visit to the indigenous hospital with the local chief, the pottery village of Sirigu, the suspension bridges in the rainforest of Kakum, ... In short, there was something beautiful every day. In addition, the trip was well balanced; a combination of tours with the occasional quiet day at a beautiful location. Paul's extensive knowledge of the country, its people, the fauna and flora made it a very pleasant first introduction to Africa for us. Leo and Marleen.

Travel story :Traveling with Captain-Africa means making contact with Paul. Nice and easy to just communicate in Dutch. That's how we came to the Togo-Ghana trip, slightly adapted to our wishes. Paul was away with another group at that time, so we went with Vicky, his Ghanaian wife. This made the trip "real Africa experience". What do I mean by that? eg HOSPITALITY, eg on the way to the voodoo market, passing by family, and then at 10.00 am drinking African beer. Nothing, no 10:00 a.m. coffee time. Lunchtime time... a European custom... along the way you can buy all sorts of things... Speaking of the roads, well that's also "this is Africa", isn't it Vicky. haha. Do you really want to experience Africa ??? Go on a trip with Paul and Vicky.

Travelogue :Full of expectations, we left Belgium on December 2, 2010, to meet the sun and the warmth. After some hasty flight changes due to the political problems in Ivory Coast where a stopover was planned, we arrived via a detour with a stopover in Accra (Ghana) in a sultry and warm Ouagadougou - Burkina Faso. The tiredness of the flight was soon dispelled by the enthusiastic welcome at the airport from Vicky, Paul's wife. When we arrived at the hotel, we soon met Paul who had made some adjustments to the car. With a fresh beer and a cordial contact, we quickly went over the itinerary. After a good night's sleep we were ready for our 20 day trip. We had opted not to travel to Timbuktu but to provide a stay in the desert in Gandafoubou (still Burkina) in a local nomad camp. Staying here will stay with us. The beauty, the tranquility is unique. The contact with the local population, the Touaregs and the Peul was a beautiful intense experience. Unbelievable how the Touaregs and the Peul fight against nature to survive. After this experience we traveled on, a captivating ride through the desert, to Mali. In short, Mali is a succession of so many sights and a jumble of population groups, each with their own identities. Life on and next to the Niger is an ant's nest of life. We were able to observe this very closely with a boat trip on the Niger. Beautiful to see, but it really humbles you how people manage to do this in their drive to live and survive. Paul and Vicky also know how to combine all this with the necessary rest to clear their heads once in a while. We expected a lot from Dogonland and it really came true. The walks there, where good walking shoes come in handy (hey Paul!), are! impressive and if you can also experience the mask dances (recommended for everyone) then that is simply unique. To get rid of the stiff muscles of the walks, we can certainly recommend the local "physiotherapist" with his relaxing massages to everyone (the digidigi .... man works wonders!! ). The sights in Mali roll on from one to the next and keep you constantly fascinated. To conclude, the drive back to Ouagadougou, we had another 2 days in Burkina Faso ahead of us. It was a welcome relief to see nature in green again. The domes of Fabedougou with the cone-shaped rock formations (very special) and the waterfalls of Karfiguela were a feast for the eyes. With the boat trip on Lake Tengrela we were also lucky to see hippos. As the last station we stayed in Bobo-Dioulasso, a very lively place, with a lot of culture, with beautiful artisan work (bronze foundries and woodcarving). As lovers of music, we also thoroughly enjoyed a session of djembe here. The last day then from Bobo to Ouagadougou, but Paul managed to surprise us with a stop at a lake where crocodiles can still be seen freely in nature. A nice ending. Paul you are a wonderful person and guide, with so much knowledge. You can always respond to all questions. Nothing is too much for you. You were a concerned, dignified and safe captain to us. Paul, traveling with your wife Vicky was also very pleasant and an added value for us. Thank you for everything and we certainly hope to be able to discover other horizons with you in the beautiful continent of Africa in the future.

Travel story : bye paul and vicky a wonderful trip, especially our group of 6 was not too bad, a country where there are hardly any tourists yet, it is worth it, as you can see still very good the real way of life among the population, the roads are often not easy to do, but everything went fine, and certainly by our experienced tour guide paul, everything was always well solved, nature and population really beautiful, and certainly super friendly , I certainly enjoyed it as well as my fellow travelers maybe until next time recommended for people who want to see the real black africa greetings nicole

Travelogue :Hi Paul, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for our super-successful 1st African trip! Every day was an adventure for us, both the ride itself and the chance encounters with the African people. We got to know their friendliness (smiling faces everywhere!), their creativity (how they make beautiful pearls from glass bottles, for example) and their helpfulness (like that time when our car broke down). That journey remains an unforgettable experience for us thanks to your flexibility and interesting explanation. Thank you Vicky for your hospitality and the yummy fufu! Greetings to Esther and to that sympathetic student! Kind regards, Kristine and Luc

Travelogue :We would like to express our appreciation for the tour we made through Burkina Faso and Mali! After our tour through Togo and Ghana in 2006, we quickly decided to book another trip through West Africa with your organization. In 2006 we were already captivated by the knowledge and enthusiasm of your employee in West Africa, this time he managed to surpass himself! Although our Air France flight arrived in Burkina Faso more than 8 hours late, your guide/driver was waiting for us at 5.30 am. He had already made some small shifts in the program of the first day in Burkina, so that we could rest a bit after a 13-hour flight. During the further course of the trip, Paul always proved to have a perfect sense of what we found fun and interesting. He always managed to surprise us with extra sights that were not even mentioned in the already so complete program. In short, we are again very satisfied with our trip with this "African" jack-of-all-trades (guide/driver/mechanic/interpreter/restaurant connoisseur, etc.). We will certainly consider enjoying his expertise again in the future, by booking another West Africa trip with your organization! centipede (guide/driver/mechanic/interpreter/restaurant connoisseur etc.etc.). Travel story :Bye Paul! After a week of "acclimatization" (which didn't go so smoothly! I just wanted to let you know that we got home without accidents (!). Tired after a sleepless night, but extremely satisfied. We are still reminiscing and after to enjoy the photos, but for the rest you have to immediately start running again at the normal rhythm eh It was the first days to get used to the lower temperatures, to the "small" bottles of beer, etc. I wish you then thank you very much for the wonderful holiday you gave us, we thought Ghana was a beautiful country, beautiful nature, friendly people, adventurous, etc. but without you we would have missed a lot. In addition to your qualities as a guide, we also appreciated your cooking skills. You didn't convince us to eat grasscutter, but the other suggestions were always successful. What you may have learned in those 14 days is that you are not allowed to lock the car if the key is still there! (Just kidding!) Despite the fact that we may have had a wrong idea about birds beforehand? maybe we were a bit too spoiled in that respect at other holiday destinations? the trip was really 100% successful. And in the end I think that Paul still recorded 128 different bird species! Thanks again and maybe see you here in Belgium or who knows in Africa to explore one of the other countries... And we will definitely recommend you as a guide to everyone! Many greetings Kris

Travel story :Despite several years ago, this trip is still imprinted in our memory as one of the most beautiful ever. At that time, Paul was still active for another company, but now that I read the reports so many years later, I cannot help but praise which He and the land are allotted to him. From our landing in Lomé, he was always at our disposal and always knew how to respond to our wishes. Every stage was always an experience and we were always among the locals who also appreciated Paul. In a calm but smooth way he took us from village to village where we were always very welcome thanks to his input, which gave us the opportunity to learn to appreciate these people and where possible even to support them. We still remember the visit to the slave castle from which so many departed never to return, as well as the visit to a village where entire families come with their sick relative to recover and rehabilitate there, sometimes for months at a time. A nice anecdote : I was almost a daughter richer one of the young girls wanted to come home with us to work for us in the house and to do the housework. Finally, this one of the coming years we will definitely go back to West Africa with the only requirement Paul as a guide and with the same travel experiences as last time. Long live Africa and especially West Africa. A nice anecdote : I was almost a daughter richer one of the young girls wanted to come home with us to work for us in the house and to do the housework.
